So I finally read all the way through the build manual on the new plane.

It calls for two mini recievers..now understand, this aairframe is a Hanger 9/Horizon product and they deal mainly with Spektrum on the hanger 9 stuff.
it was designed to fit spectrum servos., it shows placing 2, one on side of fuselage near cockpit, one as far back in the tail as you can get it.

Frsky has a similar unit in the M= I assume this is in case of loss of signal to the main reciever. Is this what the m+ is designed to do? and will it work with the archer sr10 in regards to helping prevent signal loss from transmitter to reciever?

How does this work?

Yes, you can add a redundant receiver using the S-bus IN port on the side of the receiver. You can using something like the M+ or Archer RS for the secondary receiver.
 
so in either case..the M= or the RS, if two were used, they'd be daisy chained to the SBus out on the primary? or do I have that confused?
 
The signal from the extra receiver needs to go IN to the primary receiver, so you would connect SBUS out on the secondary to the SBUS in on the primary.

Agree, that works fine with one M+ connected to (in my case) a GR8. But the OP's question was how to connect multiple M+ (or similar) slave Rx's. Can you daisy-chain them using SBus? How? Using a Y-splitter?

Daisy chained. Out to in out to in. So, of you have two M+, M+1 Sbus out connects the M+2's in. Then M+2 connects to the primary receiver's in....I think.

Please do not use the term "daisy chain" it confuses things.

An Sbus OUT can only connect to an Sbus IN. You can not "Y" connect extra receivers.

As a side note, this is another item people confuse:
Sbus and S.port are 2 different things. If you combine Sbus and S.port, then you have FrSky's new F.port, it does both of these things at once, but not much uses F.port just yet, so do not worry about it for now.

Uh...no. The M+ only has SBus OUT, which you can connect to the SBus IN of the primary. That is the way I have done it - I have a couple and am quite familiar with this. So my question remains: how do you hook up multiple M+'s to the primary?
 
I don't believe you can. As mentioned earlier, and "out" on one receiver can only connect to an "in" on another, since the M+ has no "in" I think you are stuck. You could use a couple of RS receivers instead.
 
That sounds right. The RS also has better operating and telemetry range. In retrospect I regret not buying the RS - for a few bucks more it seems to provide much better performance and capability than the M+. Oh well, I may put my M+'s in my larger powered planes; as @Wayne put it 'when survival is key', rather than continuity of telemetry.
