Aloft Web Site

Another day another slow update - Seems they can't find anything. I have them continuing to analyze. They have experienced the issue. Current thought was something wrong with our software, but we have made no changes, and we have other domains doing the same and those have not changed in years, 100% static sites.

I have been with this hosting company for a long time, they have always been outstanding, but this time around they are rather poor. Seems they have outsourced their tech support to the sub continent. Typical bad result. Very sad.

Actually came to this section of the forum to see if anyone else was having issues. The shopping site was fast as always with no checkout problems ever, the forum, on the other hand, was frustratingly bad. Very slow loading, bad gateway errors, but at least I still have had the eagle and not a Farcebook logo.

Well, have not heard a peep back from the tech crew, but the site seems to be working well for the last 24 hours. Actually seems to be faster now. Anyone have issues with it in the last 24?

Still pretty slow on my end, Wayne. I had never seen the loading bars on the top right corner before but I'm getting them a lot now, I get a spinning wheel on my tab as it's slowly loading. Once in a while the page will load right up, but it's consistently slower than usual. Something is definitely going on in the back end.

And for example, just now everything loaded up just fine. My last post took several minutes from loading the forum, clicking the bell, getting to this page, and posting. This last time was, "normal." IDK.

Yeah, it was down most of the day. Here is a response from the tech support:
Hello Team, I have checked this issue and have requested an update on the internal ticket regarding the issue.
We will update the ticket once we have more information about this.
Regards, Bijeesh

They said the same thing back on April 2. They do nothing. I have been with this company since 2012, but seems they sold out a couple of years back and they seem to be clueless now. Off to find a new server. I'm sure this will be painless.(n)

Hope the new host works, this one doesn't.

Right now the forums part seems to be showing all the signs of demonic possession. Maybe it needs an exorcism.

QQQ: Is "Bijeesh the Indian call centre name for "bejeezus!"

Seems possible.

Doc - who used to be possessed by Werewolves, but is ok Nooowooowowowooow

We are on a shared server, and they now claim one of the other sites on the server has been getting DDOS attacks and they are trying to mitigate that as it takes out the entire server. They think they may have it solved, we shall see.

I should add that I am on a flexible server that is supposed to be able to adjust resources automatically to guarantee smooth operations.
