I was flying my DJI F550 with a Taranis X9D plus and an X8R receiver - the Taranis battery went flat and the F550 lost connection and spent the next 15 minutes strimming a Scots Pine.
I'd bought an XJT Module and R- XSR Receiver. The module & receiver are both EU type. I was using the XJT module with this Taranis to fly other models.
They were working perfectly up until this incident.
Afterwards the transmitter was blank and I'd lost all my models. It was wiped clean.
Recently, I set up a new model on this Taranis .. everything looked good - but I think my error was likely trying to update the SD Card and update the Taranis .. I now understand that the Taranis has it's Transmitter Firmware and System Firmware - the XJT has it's Firmware and R-XSR has it's Firmware..
and somewhere along the way with my optimistic fiddling I have likely flashed the wrong Firmware.
Version:
FW: opentx-X9D+
Vers: 2.3.5-otx (1004ef7c)
Date: 2022-04-23
EEPR: 219
I have updated my Quadcopter FC to the latest version of Betaflight.
The model has a Kakute F7 v1.5 and an Atlal fpv.
All the wiring is good, the soldering is fine.
On Betaflight - the motors spin perfectly and the FPV works - the receivers soldering is fine, the various lights flash correctly and it's definitely in SBUS mode.
The radio links with the receiver.. the correct lights and signals are displayed in the Rx/Tx. When I disconnect the Rx or Tx the corresponding lights and/or signal goes off.
To check the transmitter is ok - I have used a second identical Taranis with the XJT module.
I set up a new model and bound it to the receiver... everything links perfectly but I get the same response.... The Betaflight connection is still fine .. but the receiver will not display.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Many thanks Dins
