Good morning Rafael,
I am about halfway through printing the parts for my PlanePrint ASK-14 and have run into some issues which is starting to cause me to tug on my hair and would appreciate some advice from you as you are printing parts for the same plane and stl files.
I am using an AnyCubic Vyper with the latest firmware and build. I believe I have it dialed in properly.
1. I got great results with the wings using PolyTerra white PLA Plus after adjusting and printing the PLA wing test for 14 iterations.
Nozzle temp = 221
Flow = 93
Fan =38
Retraction distance = 3.0
Retraction Speed = 80
Extra Prime = 0.325
Still had a few surface pinpoint holes in the wing but none in the test print.
The wingtips in the STL file I purchased required a brim on the build plate or they would slip resulting in a misprint. With the brim trimmed there is no flange to interface with the last section of wing. When I imported the STL file into Cura and before slicing, the orientation of the wingtip is different than on the PlanePrint website, but I did not change this in Cura as I do not know how (yet).
2. Efforts with the red PolyTerra PLA+ were different. I started out with the best results I got with the white PLA+ profile P3 and adjusted over 2.0 wing test prints. I increase print temp to as high as 225, extra prime amount to as high as 0.4 and as low as 0.25 and extra prime distance to as low as 3.0 and as high as 3.5.
I got the best results with all settings the same as the white PLA with the exception of having the extra prime amount increased to 0.35.
Results looked vey good with these settings for the wing test print.
However, the PlanePrint prints for the fuselage are not so good. The spinner is awful with the tip having holes. The fuselage is acceptable so far but there are many pin prick holes.
The rudder has a small defect at the top.
I am enclosing jpgs to illustrate my concerns.
Any help you or others may render is appreciated.
I had never tried 3d printing until about 4 weeks ago, but I am determined to learn and am a perfectionist at heart.
Additionally, I just received my Prusa M3 and am unboxing it and look forward to using it.
Thank you for your interest and help.
