3 Position switches on X9D with 2.3.15 firmware

Aloft just installed the new 2.3.15 firmware on my original X9D from 2013. I also got the new manual covering it.

My problem is with the switches. I cannot get them to work as 3 position and the switch selection is limited to SE, SA and several symbols. I have searched the manual with no luck. Would sure like to know of a fix.

I had a surprise with a happy ending. When I shut my transmitter down the screen went dark but still had script showing and also was giving me an audible notice that a servo was still attached to the receiver. I turned the servo off and the radio shut down normally. +

This is part or accidental radio turn off warning. It means the TX was receiving Telemetry data from the receiver and warning you. This is meant to stop you switching the radio off while flying.

In which screen, and entry field, are you seeing this limited selection?

Gary, check the Hardware settings page. The switches can be enabled and set up to different operation modes there

link to Oscar Liang's explanation,

Missing Switches? If this is a new radio, there is a high chance they are not added to the system yet.

  • Enter “System Setup” (Long press the MENU button)
  • Go to the HARDWARE tab (press the PAGE button)
  • Scroll down to “Switches” and change “none” to “toggle/2pos/3pos”
