1986 Memories of Sunset Beach and Davenport ISR

Can’t really say, because they weren’t flown together unfortunately. I think the Toccata was quicker until Mark started ballasting his 2.65m Wyvern up.

I was there in 77-78 or 78-79.I flew an all glass 9 footer at 10.5 lb. Great fun. In 79 Watson and Rawden flew 10 foot pivot wings, all glass. fast but big turns.
In early 80's I came up with .22 Caliber slope racers. No more than 2 meter span and max. 2 Kilos all up weight. We had a 350' racecourse at Snake and it was fast and reduced the midairs. Slope racing was great

Where was "snake"? I have not heard of that one.
Snake hill was off Mulholland Highway, North side, about 1 mile east of Malibu Can road. The old Disney guy Mel Allen had a small ranch across the street that is now the Park HQ. As I recall, it is about 180 feet high, safe landing is on the front side, slide in from the east. You can still walk to the top, but no driving. Great slope until the park took over.
