HEEELP!!!
Well I got well beyond my programming abilities this weekend.
I have two Taranis X9Ds that I have been using for the last 6-8 years in 18 planes -mostly sailplanes w/telemetry. They satisfy all my requirements and I compete using them in the Eastern Soaring League (ESL) fairly competitively. I use most of the toggle switches and sliders in my sailplanes.
I flashed Open TX 2.3.15 in both Tx this weekend and now I lost the binding with all 18 planes and can't seem to recover. Well I didn't check all the planes for binding. Most of my Receivers are X8R/X6R, some S8R/S6Rs.
I wanted to flash so I could use the new G-RX8/S8R/S6Rs receivers. I probably don't know what I'm doing.
My questions:
Can I use my new G-RX8 ACCST Rx with the old XD9 Tx?
Is there a YT that will show me how to upgrade the Tx firmware, EEPROM, & SD Card, so I can use all the old and new Rxs? I have copied all my models in a couple of files.
If I can't fix these myself, can I send the two Tx and 18 Rx to Aloft to fix the programming so all my Rx (new & old) are compatible?
I'm thinking of rather than spending 3 days reading blogs and watching YT that sending the equipment to Aloft and have you guys take care of this would be wiser.
Can you tell wem what my options are?
I have a an S.Port Airlink S and STK S.Port Tool Kit that I probably don't know how to use.

YES,

Make sure that both RF sections are on the same FW revision. (NOTE; this has nothing to do with OPEN FW numbers) I strongly recommended that you be on ACCST v2.1.x. for the TX. I also recommend that you use ACCST 2.1.x for the RX for now. If you can wait for the response from Aloft moving your ACCST RX's to "Uni" is strongly recommended.

Look at the Frsky site for all the FW updates to your equipment, other than ACCST-Uni.

8 years? Can I ask what was the previous FW revision to OpenTX?

Updating just the OpenTX should not have caused any issues with the binding. But i suspect you also updated the RF system in the transmitters over to ACCST V2.

So a quick fix would be to install ACCST V1 back onto your transmitter and you should be good to go. Here is a link to the file for the X9D Plus:

If you did not touch the XJT firmware, then no idea what has caused this. But pretty darn sure this is what has occurred.

It is not a bad idea to run ACCST V2, but it would require you to update the firmware on all of your receivers. If you are going to go down that route I'll suggest using our UNI-RX firmware as the best option.

ACCST V1 does have some safety concerns. ACCST V2 and UNI-RX both fix these bugs, UNI just adds a lot more to the mix, and will allow your receivers to work with ACCST V1 or V2.

Worse comes to worse, yes you can send us the transmitters and receivers. :)

I tried to upload the ACCST V1 but it says there is not enough memory to load the file. And in Bootloader, when I hit "write Firmware" it says the "Directory is missing".

Shoot us an email - but we usually give a price reduction when someone is going to have this many receivers updated. Think we charge $35 for the transmitter refresh, and we update the firmwares and go the radio a quick health check. Receivers are typically $5 each, but as I mentioned we will reduce this for this many units. The bigger expense will be the shipping.
