And we are all lucky to have Aloft as a vendor for these technical products.
This purchase is saying a lot about Wayne's customer support as I just payed the rest my tax liability a day or two earlier!

Yes, I've been a happy Aloft customer for some years now. Even before buying the Taranis X7, I bought batteries, servos, and Hitec compatible Rx's here.

I am presently covering a balsa kit build with "New Stuff" covering I bought here. I might post some pictures showing how the "New Stuff" laminate covering looks on sheeted balsa before and after painting.

What you say makes sense. I was thinking more in terms of effect on rudder when throttling up/down. I am a pinch flyer on the right stick, but thumb'er on the left stick because I hold the transmitter with the left hand. I don't use neck straps, especially when hand-launching a plane. I thought with the shorter travel throttle, I will less likely end up bumping the rudder when I didn't need to. I also considered going with the 3-axis stick on the right side and throttle only on the left stick, but that is quite a departure and would confuse me when I go back to use my old radio on the older planes.
Other solutions to rudder bump (or ail bump on right stick) is to set up expo -- OR - the rarely used deadband . With deadband you set up (various ways to do this, but curve is very easy) so you have no RUD response from -5 to +5. This gives a narrow channel down the center so if you have the jitters or whatever you won't bias the other channel on the same gimbal. The advantage of deadband is that you can still have very low (or no) expo yet have the center of the stick "dead".

That's a good idea and simple. I read somewhere that you can also disable the rudder response while the throttle input is changing, but I don't know how to implement that. You need some kind of rate detection.
